Boston Area. June 16-21, 2024.

This was to help with looking after the grandchildren.  The Somerville school district ended school one week before the Boston schools.

For the trip I stayed at Putnam Road (all five nights).  There was more furniture, but the apartment was still not lived-in.  We experienced a few very warm days, with two window AC  units it was okay.

I was upgraded on the way up.  I also got an upgrade for the return trip, but decided to take an earlier flight as BPS cancelled schools Friday due to a parade held in honor of the Celtics.

HINT.  When I first checked United to change return flights, many were available only with an extra fee.  When I checked the day before, the fee disappeared from many flights, including the one I ended up taking.  An alternate would have been to wait until check in time to see if alternate flights were available (not sure if payments would be required).

Some photos during the trip:

Both Emmie and Harrison enjoyed this display when they were younger.  Now it's CC's turn.

Bed of nails.

Courtship.

Visiting Francis, a high school classmate, in Needham.

Dinner at Legal Seafood.  Jess would show up later.

End of an era - or something close to it.  Stephanie's is a place I like to stop by at BOS courtesy of the Priority Pass dining option offered by Chase Sapphire Reserved.  This feature will be discontinued at the end of June.  The benefit will be sorely missed.

We will be traveling to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks later in the month.  Forecasts provided by both the Weather Channel and Accuweather would turn out to be quite wrong.
